Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Publication Date: March 4, 2014
Summary: Vane Weston is haunted. By the searing pull of his bond to Audra. By the lies he's told to cover for her disappearance. By the treacherous winds that slip into his mind, trying to trap him in his worst nightmares. And as his enemies grow stronger, Vane doesn’t know how much longer he can last on his own.
Another book by Shannon Messenger that I can't wait to read. This is third book (and second sequel) by her to hit my Waiting on Wednesday post and it's for a very good reason. Shannon's books not only have a story that draws you in but covers that make you unable to look away. Look at it, this cover is so amazing and mystifying. Yes you see two people in the middle of a storm. But you have to wonder... Why are they there? Why is this cover so damn gorgeous? What is going to happen next? Why is this cover so damn gorgeous!
I think you can sense my overwhelming excitement about this book. 2014 can't come fast enough. Earlier this year I got the surprise of my Shannon fandom universe when she commented on my WWW post for Keeper of the Lost Cities: Exile. It's great when authors come by to read the post you published about their books. *Squeals* This fab author moment was only topped by Amanda Hocking who after I tweeted about being unable to find the link that had a special savings for her book Wake, personally responded and kept sending me different Amazon links until I got one that worked. Seriously, who does that. Like that guy from Vonage said, 'Crazy Generous'. Until next time readers, don't get bogged down by the blues, instead go read a good book.
