This month I'll be co-hosting IWSG created by the ever supportive Ninja Capatin Alex Cavanaugh. When I agreed to co-host this year I was never given a definitive date. Hell I just volunteered when he asked for co-hosts in a post one day. Why? Because it was Alex, the most helpful blogger I know and I just felt the urge to help. Also IWSG rocks hard. Having never co-hosted a blog event I did have some nerves but those nerves eventually turned to nerves of steel and while I was a bit nervous when I found out my host date was June 5, it didn't last long. My duties aren't difficult at at all and I plan to visit at least double if not triple the blogs requested of me to visit. I'm sure my other co-hosts this month are stoked as well and I wish everyone an excellent IWSG this month (and every month after).
Express Yourself: Food
What foods could I eat every day without tiring of it?
Curry Chicken and Rice (preferably rice and (red) peas over plain rice).
Also:
Stew Peas and Plain Rice
Pizza
Burger King Burgers and their delicious hash browns
Chinese Food
Vanilla Ice-Cream and Jello
Calla loo (you read right, I love it)
Orange Juice
Ohhh... now I'm hungry! So great that you're co-hosting, Sheena. Way fun! :D
ReplyDeleteSpaghetti is my downfall. If I don't know what to cook, you know what it will be.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co hosting IWSG.
......dhole
I don't know if I'd dare volunteer to co-host, all that responsibility! Sounds like you're prepared, though :)
ReplyDeleteHm... I don't know what red peas, stew peas or calla loo are, but that pic of curried chicken looks fantastic! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on taking on the co-hosting challenge! Sometimes it's good to do something a little scary.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd get tired of eating the same food every day, no matter what it was, but it might be easier if I was able to put cheese on it. Cheese makes everything better, don't you think?
I co-hosted the IWSG and it really got me out of the rut of visiting the same people. I was given the end of the list, and it was really fun meeting brand new insecurees! :-)
ReplyDeleteIf I could eat what I wanted every day, I'd go for bread pudding. Chocolate bread pudding, blueberry bread pudding, apple bread pudding, raspberry bread pudding with white chocolate chips...you get the picture. Thank you for co-hosting!
ReplyDeleteCurry chicken...
ReplyDeleteThank you for co-hosting and going the extra mile with your visits!
Curried chicken and rice would be on my list as well. I am sure you will enjoy co-hosting IWSG, I know I did when I co-hosted last year.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of pizza? Plain? Toppings? I need to know.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the IWSG co-hosting. I'm sure you will be awesome. I love Mexican food and would definitely eat it everyday if I could.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll do great. Thanks for co-hosting!
ReplyDeleteIWSG# 123, until Alex culls the list again. :)
I now must go google Callo loo.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll do an awesome job as a co-host. You are always a great hostess!
I love good food, and I'm sure you will do awesome as a co-host.
ReplyDeleteMine would be a fried egg sandwich with grapes on the side for breakfast, a yogurt smoothie for lunch, and a huge kale salad with a potatoe and 3 oz steak for supper.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting, Sheena!
Thank you for co-hosting, Sheena and that chicken looks pretty good :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a co-host!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite food would be fried chicken. My mother's was delicious, and I really miss it!

Ooh I LOVE chicken curry and rice. This post made my mouth water. :D
ReplyDeleteHave fun co-hosting!
Thanks for hosting, and it's so awesome to meet you!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I want pizza and ice cream... not together, obviously. But, in general.
And now I will go look up Calla loo as I've never heard of it before.
You're awesome for co-hosting! I'm not sure I could do it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting! This looks so good.

I could eat chicken curry for dinner every day, the spicier the better.
ReplyDeleteNerves of steel! LOVE it :)
ReplyDeleteOMG that curry chicken and rice has my tummy rumbling lol
Looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteAlex is one of the most helpful bloggers out there! Thanks for cohosting with him. You are awesome. :)
What is Calla Loo? And dare I ask what flavor of jello goes with your ice cream? I could eat spinach every day, cooked any way or raw. I love pizza too, vegie with pepperoni. I am fast learning to appreciate indian curries and am grateful to have a good restaurant in our town with lots of choices! Food is so good for comforting, great choice on the IWSG!
ReplyDeleteI've been juicing for the last five days so this post made me very hungry for comfort food! Pasta! Bread! Pizza! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting. That looks scrumptious. I never heard of red peas before. Will have to hunt some down.

Curry chicken is so delicious. I had some just the other day with rice.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm! I love curry chicken with rice, and I love orange juice too. All this food talk is making me hungry.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sheena,
ReplyDeleteLOOKS AWESOME! I love good food too and I REALLY enjoy baking... Glad you helping out Alex this month. He needs us to keep his positive message across the blogosphere.
You did a great job co-hosting this month!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm hungry :0)
I could eat my chicken, beans and rice everyday. Also, Greek salad.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
Following you via email now.
DeleteCo-hosting IWSG would be fun, but I would be like you and nervous at first too.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheena! Man, this post made me hungry.
ReplyDeleteYou will, no doubt, be a wonderful host. You put so much of yourself out there, all the time. And are always such an encouraging and helpful blogger. Best of luck hosting.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to try calla loo for 3 years! Saw some at a Jamaican Food & Wine festival, but I decided on curried goat instead, THEN I was IN JAMAICA, and we passed a restaurant that sold some, but my friend was on a darn discount scavenger hunt, so we didn't stop. grr
Howdy fellow IWSG co-host! I have really enjoyed the experience too and now have even more respect for Alex's amazing blog visiting skills! I was pleased because I managed to get around about 70-80 blogs yesterday and one or two more today.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me yesterday and your kind words it is much appreciated.
Suzanne
Chicken curry? Yes please!
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting the IWSG.
