IWSG: Co-hosting and Express Yourself: Food

This month I'll be co-hosting IWSG created by the ever supportive Ninja Capatin Alex Cavanaugh. When I agreed to co-host this year I was never given a definitive date. Hell I just volunteered when he asked for co-hosts in a post one day. Why? Because it was Alex, the most helpful blogger I know and I just felt the urge to help. Also IWSG rocks hard. Having never co-hosted a blog event I did have some nerves but those nerves eventually turned to nerves of steel and while I was a bit nervous when I found out my host date was June 5, it didn't last long. My duties aren't difficult at at all and I plan to visit at least double if not triple the blogs requested of me to visit. I'm sure my other co-hosts this month are stoked as well and I wish everyone an excellent IWSG this month (and every month after).

Express Yourself: Food

What foods could I eat every day without tiring of it?

Curry Chicken and Rice (preferably rice and (red) peas over plain rice).

Also:

Stew Peas and Plain Rice

Pizza

Burger King Burgers and their delicious hash browns

Chinese Food

Vanilla Ice-Cream and Jello

Calla loo (you read right, I love it)

Orange Juice

  2. Spaghetti is my downfall. If I don't know what to cook, you know what it will be.

    Thanks for co hosting IWSG.

  3. I don't know if I'd dare volunteer to co-host, all that responsibility! Sounds like you're prepared, though :)

  4. Hm... I don't know what red peas, stew peas or calla loo are, but that pic of curried chicken looks fantastic! :-)

  5. Congrats on taking on the co-hosting challenge! Sometimes it's good to do something a little scary.
I think I'd get tired of eating the same food every day, no matter what it was, but it might be easier if I was able to put cheese on it. Cheese makes everything better, don't you think?

  6. I co-hosted the IWSG and it really got me out of the rut of visiting the same people. I was given the end of the list, and it was really fun meeting brand new insecurees! :-)

  7. If I could eat what I wanted every day, I'd go for bread pudding. Chocolate bread pudding, blueberry bread pudding, apple bread pudding, raspberry bread pudding with white chocolate chips...you get the picture. Thank you for co-hosting!

  15. Mine would be a fried egg sandwich with grapes on the side for breakfast, a yogurt smoothie for lunch, and a huge kale salad with a potatoe and 3 oz steak for supper.

    Thanks for co-hosting, Sheena!

  25. What is Calla Loo? And dare I ask what flavor of jello goes with your ice cream? I could eat spinach every day, cooked any way or raw. I love pizza too, vegie with pepperoni. I am fast learning to appreciate indian curries and am grateful to have a good restaurant in our town with lots of choices! Food is so good for comforting, great choice on the IWSG!

  35. Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

I have been trying to try calla loo for 3 years! Saw some at a Jamaican Food & Wine festival, but I decided on curried goat instead, THEN I was IN JAMAICA, and we passed a restaurant that sold some, but my friend was on a darn discount scavenger hunt, so we didn't stop. grr

  36. Howdy fellow IWSG co-host! I have really enjoyed the experience too and now have even more respect for Alex's amazing blog visiting skills! I was pleased because I managed to get around about 70-80 blogs yesterday and one or two more today.

Thanks for visiting me yesterday and your kind words it is much appreciated.
