Waiting on Wednesday: Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Publication Date: August 27, 2013

Summary on Amazon: She is the greatest assassin her world has ever known.
But where will her conscience, and her heart, lead her?
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice. Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she willing to fight for?

This is a book I highly anticipate. Throne of Glass was a great book and this upcoming sequel is likely not to disappoint. Also this cover is gorgeous. Definitely want the hardback.

  1. Always interesting to see the differences between US and UK covers.

  2. Those are both way cool covers. Very eye-catching.

  3. I agree with the others--great covers!

  4. I think I like the UK cover better. Both are great though.

  5. Those covers are great.

I just thought I'd stop in and see mah Queendsheena! Hey hey. Sendin' some American love down to Jamaica. May your summer be free of hurricanes and all that.

  6. It's interesting how similar those covers are. Usually UK and US covers are more different. That being said, they both look really cool! I love the feeling of movement and action the hair and flowing cape invoke!
