Got Green Blogfest 2.0, Celebrate and Strength

Mark Koopmans is hosting the Got Green Blogfest 2.0. If you have anything Irish to share or want to chat about St. Patrick's Day (March 17), this is the 'fest for you. Below I'm doing a flash fiction about a man chasing a leprecahn. Be prepared for some laughs, tears, and a lesson.

Fool's Gold

Michael ran out in the morning dew. He was determined to find either the leprechaun or it's pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Today his moths of searching would come to an end. Leprechaun gold would make him rich and he'd be able to provide a real life for his wife and finally start a family.

It was nearly a year ago he saw the leprechaun slinking through his cabbage patch. The little man was dressed in green and moved swiftly. Michael remembered the Irish legends and gave chase. But with a cackle the little man vanished. Yet before he did he sang a little song first.

Men always chase me for my gold.

Riches untold if you catch me or

find my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

But know this, every choice has a price.

Keep your house first and search for riches second.

Michael became obsessed with finding the leprechaun and getting to the gold. His wife was left alone for many days. Anytime it rained he wouldn't sleep and afterwards he'd go searching in futility for the end of the rainbow. But today he had renewed hope. He walked many miles following the rainbow colours. Earlier he had barely looked at his wife as he left the meal she'd prepared untouched.

"Today is the day Sheila!" he declared.

As he walked he saw something shimmering in the distance. Forcing his tired body onward he soon came to what he'd sought for so long. A huge pot of gold he couldn't possibly carry on his own.

"So you found me gold."

Michael turned to see the very leprechaun he'd seen in his yard. Up close the little man looked like a tiny vagabond in fine clothes. His teeth were crooked, brown hair unkempt and had green eyes filled with mischief  Michael looked much cleaner despite what he wore. His clothes made of sack cloth and clean rags,  had bright blue hair and his blonde hair like his lean body was soaked with sweat.

"I found your gold, like your song said I'm rich."

"Aw, that you are," the leprechaun agreed, "yet I fear you didn't listen to all my words."

Michael looked at him in confusion.

"You didn't keep your house and now your wife is mine. See, I've been chasing the beautiful yet poor Sheila for years. But she always spurned me for you. Until today, so keep the gold. I have true riches, a woman who has learned to love me," the leprechaun told him and disappeared.

Michael tried to question him but realized he had been transported back to his house. Ignoring the pot of gold he ran into his hut. He called for his wife but soon realized she was gone. Not even taking any of her few possessions with her.

Broken hearted he walked into their tiny kitchen. Their meal was now covered in flies and beside it was a note. He unfolded it and read.

1. I got a 4.3 on my blood sugar test. The lady at the pharmacy said 3.9 to 6.5 (or something like that) was normal. So my blood sugar's ok.

2. I read and completed The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan. Hooray for libraries.

3. Vampire Diaries is back on CW. All new and filled with bite.

Writing News: Got Green Blogfest 2.0 Winner, Big Reveal Success and Express Meme

When I decided to participated in the Got Green Blogfest, I was aiming to win. I wanted to get a prize and worked to create the perfect story. The result was Fool's Gold and readers loved it. Who doesn't a story with leprechauns? On Friday March 22 Mark posted the winners. I won a 3 chapter critique! I'm currently excited about sending in the first 3 chapters of a novella that was written about here as Untitled Novella but is now named Kissing a Ghost. There have been some changes since the untitled post including the novella being a stand alone instead of a series. I left it unfinished but have had a few thoughts about it lately. So Mark's prize is a God send. Thanks Mark, congrats all winners, entrants and of course those who read my blog and others in this 'fest.

Also my Big Reveal Post was a hit. When I decided to use Sacrifice Her as my A-Z Blog Challenge theme. I knew I'd have a challenge doing posts all month for a novella that's still unfinished without giving everything away. But now that worry no longer invades my mind on this topic, I'm content that I've done my best for April. See you there.

Books I enjoyed as a child.

I was crazy addicted to these books. Before I got into the world of Harry Potter, Sweet Valley books (especially the High and University series) were where it was at for me.

No this isn't my bookshelf but I have quite a lot of V.C. Andrews books. In high school it was the book I had to seriously save money to buy because of the cost. Would you believe that up to Harry Potter #4 that these books actually were more expensive? Yeah they ran around $500 (JM) a pop and I got my HP#4 for under $400. Today Andrews books cost nearly $800 or more and HP books are between $1500 to over $3000! Whether it was the Gothic feel, or just really great writing, I was drawn into worlds by this author that  I had to know what happened next. 

And the book to conquer them all. I was first introduced to Harry Potter by a friend in my early teens who then lent me her book one. I was thrown into a world of fantasy like never before but it took a few years before I was converted to being a true fantasy gal. Today I can't imagine not buying fantasy/paranormal books every year. When I look at my book collection now, some from high school are actually for older ages than the books I own now. Wild.

Cliche Book Tag

Note: I thought this might be my first book tag but I actually did a Civil War one back in May.

Francina Simone alerted me to this by doing her own Cliche Book Tag on Youtube.  After watching hers I said I would do my own one day and that day has arrived.

Question One: Actions Speak Louder than Words. A book that wasn't or couldn't be better than the movie.

Folks, that book for me has to be The Road by Cormac McCarthy. This book. I will never like it. It was so un-enjoyable to me I couldn't even look at the movie for more than a couple of minutes because I kept thinking of that damn book. Barely was able to read it. Don't care who likes it. NO.

Question Two: The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side. A rags to riches or riches to rags story.

1. The Selection Series by Kiera Cass - I love this series. Don't care who says it's fluff. I love it as is.



2. Princess Academy Series by Shannon Hale - A good series but I barely started book one and stopped. I plan to read it and the writing is really good. The story itself didn't grab me as well as the premise. Still I'd recommend it but read a sample first and see how it grabs you.



Question Three: The Apple does not fall Far from the Tree. A parent child relationship that you love.

 The Weasley family from The Harry Potter Series. Don't know why? Go read it? Already read it and still unsure? Then go read it again.

Question Four: You Can't Judge a Book by it's Cover. A great book that needs a better cover.

Now let me look for the cover of an author I don't know or do social media with.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - Yeah dude your book cover was not too interesting so I got the movie tie in cover and even that has lost it's glow. Still a cute couple but no. So yeah. Not even a great book or anything in my opinion but that's what I'm willing to name since I don't give a 'page'.

                                   

Question Five: You Can't Please Everyone. A book you hate that everyone loves.

Um, guess that's The Road by Cormac Mc...I just don't care. Moving on. Nope won't do the cover.

Question Six: What Doesn't Kill you Makes you Stronger. What's a book that made you a better person for having read it.

1. Number the Stars - I was so touched by the story and bravery of multiple characters. I can't say how it made me better exactly but it showed me courage comes in all forms in a realistic period piece setting. Jews went through so much back then. Sad but we should never forget.



2. Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews - Pretty sure some eyebrows flew up reading this book on the list. But this book helped reaffirm for me that evil comes in all forms and never trust a pretty (or any type) face if you don't believe in anything else about that person. Also monsters come in all sizes and ages. God this was a freaky book. Yet sadly this stuff does really happen to people in various forms.



P.S.: Damn the covers for this book these days are unimaginative and ugly.

3. The Bible - Don't ask me to explain. God gave me life and I'm a proud Christian.



4. The Harry Potter Series by J. K. Rowling - This series was just special and not only turned me into a fantasy and YA girl but also showed touching stories and characters that I'll never forget and love forever. Reading is good for the soul people. The soul!



Question Seven: Love is Blind. A book with a disabled character or actual blind love.

The Hunger Games Series: Peeta's love for Katniss. Come on people if you saw the movies or read the books, you know what I am saying. This guy was so determined to be with her he was willing to let her choose then do everything that makes it hard for a girl to say no. Plus Katniss did fall in love with him over time so he got lucky. Katniss was way less love blind in book one at least. Gale never stood a chance once Peeta strutted...stumbled into the arena. Oops.



Question Eight: Ignorance is Bliss. A book that is bad but you just don't want to admit it.

Soldier by Julia Kagawa (Talon Series #3) - For a while I refused to accept this to the point I didn't do book reviews again until recently. I finally gave the book two stars last week. It was just bad. Why?



Question Nine: There is No Time Like the Present. What is your favorite contemporary book?

I guess I'm between V.C. Andrews and Sweet Valley High series. I was very contemporary when I was younger so those books stand out. Pretty sure I've read better but these stand out in memory. I'm a fantasy girl now. Times change man.

Question Ten: Better Safe than Sorry. A book you don't want to read in case it's bad.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - I started but then kind of lost interest but really just conveniently have not picked back up. I actually hate the Fae and see them as the stuck up fairies of the magical world with delusions of grandeur shoved up their asses. Other than loving the author and a cool cover there was no reason to get this book. Worse I bought the sequel without batting an eye. What the hell is wrong me? Just stick to the Throne of Glass series by the same author that you actually like!

Review

This series was such a sweet quick read. Every word jumped off the page and made you feel part of the story. You could sense the deep love and friendship between Fox and Raccoon. Not only that, the other animals around the community are helpful and kind. If you ever wanted to read a family friendly book with a message of friendship and positivity to a child, this is it. Also a great read for children wanting a book not too long to read for themselves. There's a lot in a tiny package. The artwork is also beautiful. Sadly I hardly saw any of it because the PDF copy I got from Netgalley was of poor quality and somewhat jumbled with hardly any of the pictures actually in it. But I still highly recommend this book because it is a wonderful read for any child.

I am not a huge rereader these days. But I know the books I would grab in an instant.

1. Sweet Valley Series by Francine Pascal: These books were my childhood! I got to follow Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield from childhood all the way to University. Want to do it all over again.

2. R.L. Stine books: Goosebumps, Fear Street...everything. I recently started buying his Slappy puppet series and I'm a kid again. He might write mostly for kids but his books are ageless to me.

3. V.C. Andrews series: The ghostwriter has recently taken the series down a poor quality path. But there are still lots of books from the grander days I have yet to read. The original author might have died after writing only a few of the books herself. But her gothic legend lives on.

4. Harry Potter Series: These books helped define my teens by turning me into a fantasy buff. Before that, I was very contemporary.

5. The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine: C.J. wrote the start of an amazing series. Go read it!

6. School for Good and Evil series by Soman Chainani: Because it's amazing and compelling.

7. Enid Blyton book series: These short story collections are just so beloved.

8. Poetry: Various kinds by different poets

9 & 10. Other books I just can't recall right now. Peace.

Getting Personal: Diversity

I have decided to try and diversify characters in my manuscripts. In my Missing Girls Series there are two white teens, one black and a mixed race. The fifth book will involve one returning and that will be kept a mystery until release day. All teens are female and each go missing in a different way. I'm someone who isn't interested in the whole race war business like the Academy Awards insanity that not enough diversity was among the nominees. Sorry but a black actress won best supporting actress last year and does anyone remember a certain movie titled 12 Years A Slave. The Academy Awards nominates the best and most of whom can afford to make the movies of that quality are white. When people of other races make a movie starring their own it is progress but when white people do it that's racism. I'm sorry but that is prejudiced and unfair. Yes diversity is needed but that needs to be done in co-operation not shouting and finger pointing. Also there is a need to get actors of all races to be bankable overseas to attract foreign investors. Seriously in a competition between Scarlett Johansen or Octavia Spencer as most bankable actress who do you think would win? Exactly, I don't even need to say it. When all races are equally bankable then we will see a real change. The colour that matters most is green and right now that mostly falls with white actors and actresses. Plus I think many people need to remember that blacks are not the only race aside from white people in existence. What about Asians and other races and nationalities that have few or zero Academy Awards to their name? Why isn't there such a large outcry from their camp? Maybe because they know that there just wasn't a movie of that caliber out for them? Or maybe they know movies and awards are about more than race? Whatever the reason I think this outcry is unfair because the only movie starring a black cast to even be up for consideration was Selma. When there is only one known black starring movie up for potential nomination it is lucky to get nominations in the first place. Lots of white starring movies didn't make the cut. Remember Jennifer Anniston being predicted to get nomiated for Cake? Didn't happen. The Lego Movie and Gone Girl were robbed in the Animated and Adapted Screen Play nominations in my opinion. But guess what? Everyone can't be nominated! But that's just this one lady's opinion so moving on.

Still I do see where almost all my characters in starting manuscripts are white. It just seems easier and part of the reason is because writers don't have to worry about most white people calling them out on the character not fitting the culture they feel the writer must represent. If I had a dollar for every time a writer has been criticized for a non-white character not fitting into a certain mold I would have a lot of  money. It is especially ridiculous when the character is in a fantasy setting where race is of little relevance. You want the black princess on a wartorn planet to have black instead instead of green hair or for it to be in braids? Seriously? You don't think the author had other priorities? This is not a real life example but there are similar scenarios and things like this make authors worry about diversifying their characters. There is no fictional race code. Opinions are important but when it is just...just keep the really silly ones that give authors unnecessary headaches and fears to yourselves. Really, it would be a great help.

Back to the main topic at hand. I do see a need to widen the race net in my manuscripts. Every race, nationality and gender deserves to have a fictional character who they can look at and see some of themselves in whether on the outside or what is within. Right now I am making changes to a few. Not all characters are going to be changed though. Only those which I truly feel are only that race or nationality for convenience. It's Complicated from my 2014 Nano will be among those getting a race evaluation. Those not getting any though include Escaping Wonderland and Monster City. There is just no need and I'm not going to go around doing the token race character. Hated it in horror movies and will not do it in my own writing. Anyway I hope my thoughts today have got your mind whirring and would love to read about your feelings and thoughts in the comment section. 1. Came off a real bender last week. All I'll say is that I think I now know what it's like officially to freelance write something you absolutely are not 'in league with'. So that's why I was absent from the blogging verse last week. Finally finished that 'project' for the customer after 5 a.m. this morning and will start to seriously clamp down on my requirement to be contacted first before orders are placed. The stress of that draft...God.

2. Ready to start this week anew and free from #1. So free.

3. Do more reading.

4. Squeeze in more writing time for my own work.

5. Revamp my social media pages this month. Sprucing up is new wrong.

6. Go to bed before midnight.

Book Review

Nevada has it rough. With a wandering Motorcycle Club father she's left to the care of the other members and not all see a twenty-one year old as off limits if she saws no. In steps Wizard who takes the young woman as his own at first in an effort to protect her but as time moves along feelings begin to grow and change. Let me say this right now. I got this book for free over the weekend and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning reading it to the end. Couldn't go to bed without knowing and under three hundred pages it is a manageable read. Character wise this book is flawless not hiding the good and bad in every character you meet. Yes this is a Motorcycle Club and no they're not angels, yet they still have codes and rules to go by. If you don't like books where males in certain instances dominate women, this book might not be for you. No the book is not devaluing women but in the MC culture males are in charge and there are times Nevada has to take a back seat in following the rules of the club she was born in. Still she is no shrinking violet and Kings of Chaos does not have or want weak willed females in their flock. These biker women are tough and ready to take action when needed. Nevada grows from a shy young woman to a strong female ready to face the world. Plus Wizard also learned to soften his heart and open up to another person completely.

Story wise the book is strong but not perfect. While I do love the book there were a few things that did turn my dial in a less spectacular to bad way. A few times I did feel Wizard use his age and experience to manipulate Nevada somewhat. I knew it was a part of the MC culture the book created but not all of it sat well with me. Also what I truly disliked was the big resolution of a major betrayal to the club. It started as a rival gang attack then turned out to be something frankly rather petty and senseless. Really Fuse and Trixie? Really now? Not worth the price man, dumb set of people. It did not ruin the book but definitely messed with the great story that went on before hand. Also authors please stop going to a big climax then creating an excuse for the main character in that scene to leave or let us know something huge happened off book. Yes it works sometimes but not here.

However story wise everything else shines. Especially another huge twist after the betrayal. Man that was a doozy and Nevada was pretty much bitch slapped with a bus in my opinion (pardon my language). So if you love your romance with obstacles, can read books with a big age difference between characters, love a good story and want to see happy endings earned, then this book is for you. Especially if you love Motorcycle Club books. Then this is a no brainer. Personally I plan on continuing this series because no matter the pitfalls this book was a heart pounding ride. Recommend.

Genre Favorites Blogfest

Today is Ninja Captain Alex's blogfest and I'm taking part. The Genre Favorites Blogfest  has each participant picking their favourite genre for movies, music and books.

Movie: Drama and Science Fiction. My father loves Action movies and Drama and my mother is a big Science Fiction fan. But unlike my other who also likes my other fave genre. My dad HATES science fiction with a passion. I try to get him into one now and then but it's always a big fail. Oh well, we can still watch Seinfield together. Anywho, back to my favourite movie genre. Drama just pulls me in and the fact that  it takes on real life situations is a big plus. A good drama movie has you talking about it long after the end. My favourite movie of all times is the crime-drama The Untouchables. It's just amazing. When it comes to science fiction I enjoy being taken places I've never been and can never discover outside my imagination. The Terminator is one of the best Science Fiction Movies Ever. I will not have a debate. I also enjoy watching Species over and over, which is not exactly considered the best of the alien movies but still one of my faves.

Music: This is a toughie for me. I don't have any one favourite music genre. But I will focus on the ones I listen to most. That would be Alternative, Pop and Punk Rock (Green Day all the WAY). I also enjoy local reggae but I haven't listen to a lot over the years and the over abundance of dancehall has been a turn off because over 80% of what gets most promoted is just plain slackness. In my teens rap, hip hop, reggae and pop were my favourites. But in my late teens and adulthood I had started turning away because they lost what I loved most, a powerful message. With the exception of reggae, in that category I just felt that the music played was for an older generation, not being updated fast enough for the younger ones. I still loved the classics but the ones coming out now just do the same old thing but less powerful and frankly boring. There were exceptions but exceptions don't overthrow popularity and interest. Of course Bob Marley is one of the best musicians of all time. Best Jamaican one by a landslide.

 Like I'd ever leave out Bob.

Books: My fave genre is young adult. No doubt there. And the sub genres for that would be fantasy, paranormal, and in the last two years or so, dystopia. I was first introduced to fantasy through Harry Potter. Back then I was in my early teens and a contemporary girl. The furthest I went from traditional contemporary were V.C. Andrews novels (which I still love). But as I got older fantasy took hold and then another genre popped up. Paranormal. I was seduced by the writings of vampires and ghosts. Werewolves came into the picture with Twilight and otherwise are pretty much in the movies for me. But this genre is ever evolving and with The Hunger Games and Divergent series, isn't going to lose my interest anytime soon.

Guilty Pleasure: Animated Movies. Animation is an obsession for me and I'm always looking for the next animated movie, show or series to get obsessed over. When it comes to movies I love those that  takes me into the world that it's set in. Makes me feel for the characters whether it's for their success or downfall. That's why I'm so in love with Pixar Movies. From The Incredibles to all three Toy Story Movies (was I the only one who cried during the last one). Also Japanese anime like Akira and Metropolis, two of the best anime movies ever made.

Cover Reveal Fanfiction and Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays fellow bloggers and I am happy to share with you the cover for my wattpad fan fiction story Evil Strikes. Chapter One will be published January 15, 2016. Evil Strikes is my fan sequel to the Disney television show The Descendants. In this fan fiction novel new villain kids will emerge and Auradon will come to see a whole new danger emerge. Fan favorite's will also return.

Usually I post my fan fiction on Fanfiction,net (multiple accounts, like 5) but Wattpad has an interesting mix and I plan to post a few there. But most will remain on my other accounts. The current story up there is one I started on my old accounts but stopped. This upcoming one though is spanking new and only available there. No matter how you Celebrate Christmas I wish you a wonderful holiday and a prosperous New Year. I will be back blogging on Monday the 28th.

Personally my family and I will be celebrating the birth of Jesus and enjoying some excellent home cooking. Nice to relax with your parents when neither you or your siblings have kids. Quiet.

Note:  I am black and since White Christmas deals with snow all I can think for other colors is this. Pink - Someone throwing a streamer in your face. Black - Tar? Yellow: Rain I will not step out in. Blue: Shit the sky is falling! Run! Red: Someone got their eye poked out by that bitch throwing skittles. Green: Who just threw grass? So at the end of the day I'll just stick with White Christmas.

Moonless Book Release Blogfest: My Perfect Match

Who is My Perfect Match you ask? I have selected three gentlemen who I think would be worthy of my hand. Hopefully my parents will agree to me marrying any of them.

First

This is Severus Snape and he is a professor. Oh what subject Mom? Um, it has something to do with the arts. Of course that's not a wand in his hand. Magic is forbidden in our parts. *Laughs nervously* He is a brave man and even suffered loss years ago when he lost the love of his life. Also like me mother and father he's undefiled and I know how you love the morality of purity. Also as a working older man he probably won't demand a heavy dowry and I would be moving with him to live at his residence. Where? Oh um, I have a picture of him as a teen too. Look.

Isn't he cute? No mother he's not a vampire! They can't age! Dad he is not sickly. Sigh, let's go to the next one

Second

Now this is Tobias Eaton also known as Four because he is claimed to only have four fears. He is a um soldier and lives in a very structured community. Like our community they also have people to fear called Divergent as we have witchcraft. Their group is called Dauntless and they help protect where they live. Do I have any other pictures um I don't...all right mother I'll show you!

Funny enough it was the girl in this picture who sent me this. Her name is Beatrice or Tris or something skank I mean girl. Yes he is younger than me mother. No dad the girl is not threatening to cut me, they work together. Oh, right. He's probably too young for me anyway, I am twenty-nine. Yes I know it's a bit late to get married now mother and father. *Sighs*

And Last but not Least

This is Arrow, mother and father. He is a vigilante who fights in memory of his father and lost friend. He is unattached and between you and me his liar points to his secret identity being loaded. Probably don't require a dowry at all and he is over twenty like Severus.

So any questions before you pick.

Mother: Do you have a less menacing photo of this man.

Me: Yes, I think you'll love this one.

Father: The lair does look expensive.

Mother: Husband! He is a criminal and I don't like the look of those lights and...are those tubes? Does he experiment on people!

Me: Mother he is not even a scientist. Plus don't worry about him getting caught, he never works alone. He has a computer girl and guard whose faces I can't show on penalty of death. *Weak laugh* But his on again off again co-vigilante does have a photo I can show you.

Mother: Seriously? Another one.

Me: He's not Tobias mother and she has made it clear that their relationship ended long ago.

Mother: So she's an ex.

Me: Yes.

Mother: And a criminal.

Me: Come on! Father?

Father: He looks like Robin Hood and that green face paint isn't covering is face very well. Wait is that Oliver McQueen, the party boy?

Me: *Hides away photo* Of course not, a cop thought that in the past but was proven wrong.

Mother: Uh huh, who was the cop?

Me: *Winces* Father of another ex. For Oliver this time not Arrow.

Mother: Right. So let's review. A man who might practice magic and looks like a vampire.

Me: Mother!

Mother: I said looks. Clearly he's not a vampire. He has walked in the sunlight?

Me: *Sighs* Yes mother.

Father: Tobias has a crazy girlfriend who threatened you.

Me: I think we already agreed he's out father.

Mother: And lastly a criminal you dare bring to us as a suitor.

Me: Oh mother, it's not like I picked him just to make Severus look better.

Father: Of course not.

Me: Plus, he is a hero. Look at the drawings people do of him in America. It is called fan art.

Mother: Witchcraft!

Me: No mother, it is a drawing.

Father: Then why is the arrow glowing?

Me: Ugh! Fine, who do you suggest.

Father: I have someone. He is an old friend.

Me: *Sceptically* How old?

Mother: *Bops me on the head* Don't be fresh.

Me: *Hangs head* Sorry, please father, show me my potential husband.

Father: Presenting Haymitch.

Me: Seriously! Haymitch Abernathy, the limping drunkard from District Twelve? Father he is old and gross. Plus he lives where people are in constant fear. Last I heard his district got blown up!

Father: True but they have alternate accommodations in a secret underground district and he plans to send me the details after he hears about your dowry.

Mother: *Laughs* I bet.

Father: Oh? You rather the magic wielder or the vigilante. No buts Sheena, he is clearly holding a wand in that picture and I heard that there is a Professor Snape at a high school known as Hogwarts Witchcraft and Wizardy. I think that's the name.

Mother: *Frowns* You are marrying Haymitch. You should have taken that other man who wanted you when you were twenty-one.

Me: Lex Luthor! Mother, he is a convicted criminal!

Mother: Ahem, he always gets away from the charges with a slap on the wrist and he is a successful black man. You should mind doing well by your race. Too many of our skin colour fall by the wayside.

Me: *Mumbles* I'm so running away tonight.

Mother: What was that?

Me: I am so excited. When will you be mailing Haymitch about the match.

Father: Today, I want it all done as quickly as possible.

Me: Of course, may I be excused?

Parents: Of course, have a good day daughter.

Me: *Writes letter to Snape and attaches it to an owl* Fly and bring good news of my love back to me!

Owl flies to the Snape residence. A relative collecting belongings reads the letter of a young woman asking Snape to save her from a loveless arranged marriage and to come for her at midnight.

Man: Pity, she has no idea he is dead. *Crushes letter and resumes packing*

Yup, that is the end of my post and yes...I better runaway from this union fast. No I don't hate Haymitch, just think his demons are just too much for me to handle. Sheena out and remember to visit other participants in the blogfest. Would you believe I started this after midnight this morning? Think I did a pretty good job though. No judging! I signed up last night. Crystal is a cool person and I wanted to show my support. And yes the blogfest idea also caught my attention. But I would not sign up for a blogfest I would have to write the post for on the same day for just anyone. Love you Crystal and congrats.

Tomorrow: Book Review: Nightmare in Niceville. Should have been today but then I saw Crystal's event on Facebook last night and found this blogfest. No regrets! Yup, after practically two hours of work this post is perfect. Compliment me!
