I love it! The green is perfect for Oz a.k.a. The Emerald City. It also is neat that the design was not just some picture of a castle from the real world digitized to look more fantastical. Just true artistic vision and yellow font is also really good. Even a little graffiti-ish which would go with the rebellious element which is Dorothy. Am I right? Thanks for stopping by let me know your thoughts. Pretty sure Dani is going to wow us!
Not heard of that series. Nice cover and I dig the name of the series.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it.
Deletecan't say I like that cover, doesn't look professionally done to me :( In other news, can't wait for Emerald City at NBC next midseason
ReplyDeleteYes I really want to see that series as well. Don't botch it NBC/Studio.
DeleteSimple and attention-getting. (And I'm sure Danielle really appreciates someone dissing on her cover.)
ReplyDeleteNice that you like it. Well opinions will always be for and against. Pretty sure Danielle has had people liking or hating her covers for years now.
DeleteI like the classic look of the cover.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at Dezmond's comment. He didn't think my cover for Seismic Crimes was professionally done. I have a publisher. It indeed was. ;)
That good ol' Dez honesty. Personally I liked your cover Chrys.
DeleteDorothy must... die? Say it ain't so! I'll come and rescue you, Dorothy.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cool looking. Very fun and eye catching! Sounds like an interesting premise, as well. The comments above reminded me of a comment I got on my first cover. Simon & Schuster designed it...I posted it and someone commented, "Your name isn't big enough. I would make the font much bigger." I was all, "Does she realize that authors don't have a say on that when we're traditionally published?!"
ReplyDeleteWhat a great cover. Many congratulations to Danielle.
ReplyDeleteI've already heard of this series but I'm not that interested in it, the cover is really lovely though ^^
ReplyDelete"Book Addict"
