Charlie's Scribes Road to Enlightenment and a little Celebrating

Please Note: I will be back on Tuesday with a book review and what I did over the blogging break.

Sheena-kay is taking a much needed holiday, but she didn't want to leave her blog peeps bored. So, she called in Charlie's Scribes!!

On
Fridays, Sheena-kay shares the wisdom of gratitude...the Scribes may
need to seek enlightenment to hit the Queen's level of awareness.

Wisdom Sought and Found

Waiting in the grocery line, I did my usual perusal of the
day’s top headlines. Squeezed between news of Kim Kardashian’s growing butt and
Myley Cyrus’s decaying morals was the revelation that a bald man in a coconut
bra and grass skirt set up camp at the peak of Mauna Loa volcano. A neon sign
outside his hut proclaimed, “Koop’a: Know All, See All”.

In my excitement, I abandoned my shopping cart and ran to
Tammy’s…whew was I tired…what a long run!
Pounding on her door, I yelled, “Tammy get out here, we’ve
got to meet the Koop’a!”

“I know! I was just on my way to get you. I got a text from
Mark this morning. It said, Bring your
stilettos to Hawaii. The Koop’a will tell you what to do.

“OMG!” Tammy and I said, like in total unison…we’d have done
the jinx and bought each other a Coke, but there was no time. We had to fly to
Hawaii!

At the base of Mauna Loa, Tammy strapped on the stilettos. I
was like, “Are you insane?”

She was like, “The Bald man said to wear them. And the Bald
man is always right.”

“Who says the Bald man is always right?”

Tammy gave me an eye roll. “Duh! Didn’t Mark ever tell you
bald heads are solar panels for deep thought?”

I had to admit that statement was vaguely familiar.

So, we climbed. Tammy kept getting her heel caught in the
craggy rocks and my chubby body screamed in elevation agony, but we made it.

Nearly blinded by the neon sign’s reflection off the Koop’a’s
head, we covered our eyes as we asked, “Wise Koop’a, how can we become
successful?”

The Koop’a stood, slowly he began to Hula, his grass skirt
swishing, his coconut bra clacking. Spreading his arms wide he said, “The world
is vast and yours for the taking. Just as you climbed this mountain one step at
a time, the world will be yours one step at a time. Small steps can take you
great distances.”

Wow. His bald head really does concentrate brain energy! As
I contemplated the profundity of his words, Tammy attacked. Shaking a stiletto
in his face, she yelled, “What the heck was the point of these?”

Koop’a shrugged. “I needed shoes. You stole my flip flops
while visiting Michelle in Africa, or were you so drunk you forgot?”

Just a quick pop in the celebrate this amazing post by Charlie's Scribes. Thanks guys, you are amazing and hilarious. Also the fact that my ghost writing gig has allowed me to purchase over $30 (US) in books. All paperback from TBD except for Angela Brown's alter ego Rayven whose book two in Confessions of a Sex Fiend book I purchased off Smashwords. Now back to saving for that laptop. Enjoy your weekend folks and I'm enlightened enough to not go near a volcano. Especially in heels, hell to the NO

    1. Personally, I'm a little disappointed he wouldn't wear the dress, I mean you do what you have to do to make the post work...not worry about whether or not your summer tan is deep enough.
