Getting Personal: After the Reveal and Remembering 9/11

I am still giddy over the Sacrifice Her Cover Reveal yesterday. It was so exciting seeing my cover on other blogs and I;m grateful to everyone who took the time out to help spread my reveal. Also everyone who commented and all the compliments given. I even replied to some comments on other blogs when there was a question about the cover whether it was about the meaning or look. So to everyone who took part whether it was a post or a comment, I just want to say......

Remembering 9/11

I can't say this day affects me in the same way as my American counterparts but it was a shocking day for many. The post It's Been Twelve Years by Jay Noel almost brought me to tears. I must admit there was a lump in my throat before I reached the end. Two of the people who had signed up for my  reveal had let me know they'll post on a different day because they had other posts in mind in relation to September 11, 2001 and I was fine with that. So even though it is technically 9/12 now, let's all take a moment to remember 9/11 and those who were lost and those who were saved.

And Alex is so right. I can remember where I was at the exact moment the news broke. Unforgettable.

I can also remember that moment. It's pretty much etched into my memories.

  4. 9/11 for me is a reminder of what this nation can be when we stand together. The loss breaks my heart, of course. But I refuse to think the terrorists won. Yes they hit us, but no they didn't send us running. If anything, for a time, this nation was more tightly bonded than I've ever seen before.

You do have an awesome cover. I'm glad I could be a part!

  12. Congratulations on a successful cover reveal.

9/11 affected the entire world, and I remember the moment of surreal stupor when watching it first on TV in India.

  14. Congrats on such a successful cover reveal. The cover was very nice!

9/11 is a day I'm sure most people remember what they were doing when it was announced on TV. I remember I was in the 8th grade and in my Geography class. It's sad to know how many people lost their loved ones on that day. :(
