Secret Goal: Being an Extra in Divergent or Insurgent Movie
Yes I'd like a part in the book to movie adaptation of either book (or both). I bought a copy of Divergent Christmas eve of 2011 and couldn't put it down. Tris is a great character and the world Veronica Roth created is both engaging and frighting at the same time. In a year where book stores were clogged with dystopian YA, this stood out. A Divergent Movie Blog even did an interview with Veronica Roth to ask about her feelings on the movie deal and adaptation. Insurgent's release is fast approaching and I think my goal is doable. Tough but doable.
What do you think?

P.S. : Watched Hunger Games Movie yesterday and loved it. Dystopia Rules.
The Spider King's Mistress
I stared out the horizon. I was dead. Just Fifteen, and my life would end in a few horrid months. Pulling at the spiderwebs tying my hand and feet had no effect. Webs of steel would be an understatement. The guard spider behind me was hanging off a tree. It hissed when I tried to topple the stool my feet were cobwebed to. My arms burned from being stretched behind me and cobwebed. I ran to avoid the fate of the Spider King's misstresses. I wasn't the first but I lasted the longest. Seven months.
Other escapees had varying fates. Some executed, most went back to the spider king and the last option was torture and disemblowment. I Diana Tanner decided to risk it all and run. Now that I was caught, I still didn't regret running. Nothing scared me more than the fate of spider king's mistresses.
The spider king was a mutated giant spider who could speak and had special abilities. He was created in a lab from a cocktail of different DNA species injected into a successful black widow/tarantualle breed. He became the crown jewel of science and the scientists who created him got rewards and gifts. Then he was given human DNA and implanted chips that raised his intelligence to A.I. levels. In less than a year he broke out and in months self-bred strong superior spiders that looked the size of tiny cars. North America was overrun in three months and they breeched other countries borders. The world quickly surrendered and treaties were signed to save them from an insect take over. In N.A.surviving humans were coralled and eventually placed in one of three places. The city, villages or camps. In the city humans did very important work and you have to look and dress the part, villages had humans do menial jobs no one else wanted and the camps were where humans beings were only let out to be sacrificed or eaten.
The Spider King's newest ambition was to create a perfect human spider hybrid. At first this was done in labs with his genectic material and a female's egg. None became viable much less developed into an embryo. Then females started being dragged from camps. I later found out that they were being used to perfect his hybrid baby hopes. His way was allowing a part of him that looks like a long stick to penetrate your belly and go up to your uterus to fertilize our eggs. Those babies lived to be embryos but none lasted past the first trimester. And when that happened, he ate any mother who survived. He eventually started a public call for females to be his mistresses and offered special privilidges for those 14-21. It fell through from day one, no one trusted him. So he went with plan b and had girls taken by force. When they took me, I fought like hell.
Inside the underground compound the king showed us what he really wanted. Two of the five girls were strapped to cots to keep them still. Then he pierced their bellies and myself and the other two girls had to watch them scream and bleed. Doctors dashed in afterwardss to stitch them up but I didn't care. He could only do it once a month so myself and another girl named Carly Beth ran a week before he was due. We split up and I never saw her again.
Now I was captured and my mouth cobwebed shut for cursing and screaming.
If I could I'd also kick myself for being so dumb. Months on the run made me tired, hungry. Earlier today I saw a bowl on a red cloth napkin under a tree. The smell of food made my mouth water. Hunger overwhelmed my sense that it was a trap and I decided to eat. The guard spider attacked as soon as I was finished. He won and I could only wait to see what fate had in store for me.
Suddenly the spider behind me made high pitched noises. He skittered along the tree behind me and I soon heard leaves telling me he'd gone towards the top. I soon saw why when the spider king came before me. He was a giant black spider with sixteen legs, a grotesque human mouth to speak out of and seven eyes.
"Diana, I've found you," he cooed.
I recoiled from his silky words.
"Carly Beth gave birth two weeks ago, the baby's healthy."
My eyes bugged out at the news. He had his perfect baby.
I'm redundant.
"I know what you're thinking," one of legs rested on my chest, "but you're still very useful...in fact, I'll make perfect use of you now."
I had not time to register as he tore the web from my mouth. My scream stretched for miles. Then he stuck his stinger into my belly and I screamed even more. When he removed it and covered the spot with a bandage, I was a mess. He left as I lost consciousness.
I slipped in and out of consciousness and when I awoke my skin burned from sunburn and the ground was littered with guard spiders. I stunk and could barely take anything in. My eyes bulged when I saw my huge belly.
Oh God, he put his own eggs inside me.
Every night a spider stuck me with a huge needle filled with a white substance. I was starving but they didn't seemed concerned enough to feed me. Only the freaks inside me mattered.
It was a month later that I felt pain so intense couldn't stand it. Then things started coming out of me. I realized they were giant spiders and barfed. More came and by the time it stopped I refused to look down to see what I had left. The chittering got very loud and I was losing consciousness from loss of blood. If only my death could be that easy.
It was.

Rachael Becoming Red: The Backstory
Rachael Becoming Red is book 1 in the Red Series. In this ebook Rachael is an eleven year girl living with the loss of her family in Kare, a religious forest village. She finds out their real cause of death when she meets Terry. A man who leads T.O. (The Organization), an agency that fights paranormal and supernatural elements deemed dangerous. Even humans who allied with them could be arrested. Rachael turns down an offer to join because she didn't want to leave Kare. Her guardian Amanda has a negative confrontation with Terry and from then on they're openly bitter enemies. How can Rachael choose between staying where she's always been or moving to the unknown to avenge her family and save others from the same fate? Also, what of Kare's secrets and is her own giardian Amanda what she seems. The truth will both open her eyes and strengthen or break a little girl's heart.
Rachael Wood: An eleven year old redhead whose life is turned upside down when she finds out her family was murdered by werewolves. Not an animal attack.
Quote: I loved them...I want the monster who killed my family dead. I want them all dead. (says to Terry)
Terry: A man in his late thirties. He leads the T.O. an organization that eliminates paranormal and supernatural beings deemed a threat. He wants to recruit Rachael to help her avenge the murder of her parents. But he seems to have a deeper agenda and her guardian Amanda hates him on sight.
Quote: Don't know why you're alone with a strange man at nighttime. Where I'm from such silly little girls don't last long. (says to Rachael)
Amanda: A blonde woman who befriended Rachael before the death of her family. She takes Rachael in and raises her as her own. She's a woman who lives outside the norms of Kare but goes along with some rules to keep Rachael. She warns Rachael to stay away from Terry but is there more to their anger than meets the eye? And is Kare where they truly first meet each other?
Quote: You stay away from Rachael and never address me again! Get out! (shouts at Terry)
Duncan Clay: An important man in Kare. He wants Rachael to marry his son Paul. He's a holy man but can be quite domineering and scary if things don't go his way.
Quote: You should be grateful God spared Rachael for you. Apologize and talk to her, not about your incompetence at accepting a girl might actually marry you. (says to Paul)
Paul Duncan: A sickly short little boy. He's shy but a lot of girls want him for his father's family name. He speaks honesty about his feelings for Rachael and pays the price.
Quote: I don't like her. (Responds to his father's demands)

Trayvon Martin: A Sad Case
Please note: The following is my thoughts about the death of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman is the shooter but I believe a court of law should decide his fate. This blog post is not in anyway to bash any party and is only to display my feelings, put the word out and find out the thoughts of others. Thank you.
If you're unfamiliar with this case click here.
Trayvon Martin was only seventeen years old when he was shot dead by George Zimmerman, a community crime-watch volunteer. Zimmerman claims self defense and Florida has a 'stand your ground' law. This tragedy has even caused political divides with President Obama getting slammed by Newt Gingrich in this article. The fact is, a young man is dead. People want to know why. The outcry for a more thorough investigation and justice comes from all races in America, not just African Americans.
Was it self-defense? In my personal opinion, no. The 911 calls and witness testimony makes me suspicious that this was all because of racial profiling. I'm genuinely confused as to why George Zimmerman went up to Trayvon after a 911 dispatcher told him not to. Confused and also admittedly angered. It's one thing to be a vigilante, it's another to seek advice from the law and immediately dismiss it. I truly believe all this could've been avoided if Zimmerman had just stayed in his car. No ordinary citizen has the right to confront a total stranger because he thinks he might be dangerous. Unless it's the law of your country, that's the police's job.

I ask now that everyone bow their heads for a moment of silence. No matter the truth, a teenager has died and until the truth is known...there can be no justice. I have done my best to keep my anger out of this article and to express myself in a civil and honest way.
P.S.: I will be posting around 10pm (Eastern) tonight a blogpost on my upcoming ebook Rachael Becoming Red. In it I will write about some of the main and supporting characters as well as explain more about the novel and series as a whole. I hope you join me.

Hunger Games Movie Out Today
Yes it is here. Hunger Games has gone from novel trilogy to movie release in theatres. Today March 23, 2012 marks the release of movie one with two more to come. I myself will be watching it over the weekend. Jamaica isn't the grand hub of paranormal movies but I'm sure it will do well here. Whether or not you've read the books -like me- the buzz from the movie has a lot of people checking up on what The Hunger Games is really about. Katniss journey starts with taking her sister's place in the games but we all know...well not all of us so I won't say. So Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be in favour that this never happens in real life.
You can also check out Hunger Games anticipation at The League of Extraordinary Writers, Coco's Tea Party, The Bookshelf.

Picking the Perfect Cover
I was up all late hours looking at images for my upcoming/future ebook covers. It's not easy to pick that one image for a book (for my novel Rachel Becoming Red I found free images and had some one crop them together for $5US). You always want the 'perfect one' and it gets all hair pulling/ Lord of the Rings esque (*wheezes* : Have to find my precious-image) crazy. But you do find something eventually. I hope. However I did find an image for a novella I had the sudden urge to undertake this year. It was a combination of novellette talk, history channel, greek mythology and me, crazy crazy me. Yeah.
I have plans for a novella in June called Sacrifice. This is a project more of fun for me but I still plan to approach it as seriously as my other works. In this novella my M.C. is among a group of girls to be sacrificed to 'Gore' God of Maiming and Mayhem but she escapes. The god threatens the ruler with destruction if he doesn't get his sacrifice and so starts the fight between a girl who wants to live and a man who wants to save his country and people.
Below is the image I'm purchasing off the Dreamstime website.
NOTE: Have since decided not to use image and have removed it in respect of copyright laws.

Isn't she lovely? I also plan to have a firey background. It will be an ebook and around 20,000 words or a little over. Plus I'm considering making this into a saga of sacrifice books. Each with as different scenario of someone being set for sacrifice and their reaction to it. Hmm, something to consider. Especially since I already have the Red Series on my self-publishing plate. But I think it's a good idea.
Not to forget others. Emily has a blog hop called Oh, Those High School Dances! Blog Hop. I have already added my blog to the link list. So should you. Another one at the The Mod Podge Bookshelf has a giveaway of a collection of 2012 YA Arcs. Counting down the days to the finish I am *squeals.*
P.S.: I also found the perfect image for Circa if I were planning on self publishing it. I plan to buy that image another time anyway. Hey if agents fall through in 2013, I'm publishing it myself. Both my guts and the fans and readers who love it everythime I drop a tidbit about this W.I.P. tell me it's a great novel with an exciting premise.

Made My Red Series Page
So for all you followers and Red Series lovers. I have finally made the Red Series Page. It's under the blog header and has all you need to know about the series. Especially the anticipated first ebook Rachael Becoming Red which after much hobob has a final release date. April 25, 2012. This is to ensure all kinks, computer isssues and promotion delays will be out of the way before RBR is released.
So in other news I read an interesting post by Amanda Hocking tonight. It's on the lost art of blogging. I think she's just getting used to life as a traditional author after being a successful self-published one. The pressure must be tremendous. But don't think I'm a party pooper. I'm sure it's worth it and plan to be there someday. I never plan to stop self-publishing though. I just think that some of my stories are best kept in my hands. *Grins.*
P.S. - Check out A Picture Paints A 1000 Words Blogfest. I will be participating March 26-28.

Review: Slippery Souls
Slippery Souls by Rachael H. Dixon
Genre: Paranormal
Published: January 18, 2012
Pages: 242 (Paperback)
Source: Received free copy after winning Goodreads Giveaway
First heard of: Through Goodreads
Purchase: Amazon US, Feed A Read, Kindle, Nook.
Summary: Libby has hit a bad patch in life, and just when she thinks things can’t get any worse she's killed in a car accident alongside her dog Rufus. During their transition to the afterlife’s Sunray Bay, Rufus somehow manages to absorb her soul – which, in turn, gives him human-like qualities and renders her soulless.
Accompanied by her now talking dog, Libby tries to unravel the mystery of her slippery soul, encountering many setbacks and dilemmas along the way. She has no idea why a group of monster slayers, headed by an ex-convict, are hunting her down, and when she teams up with rogue Peace & Order Maintenance Officer, Grim, she’s shocked to discover that there’s a mob of disgruntled vampires and a very angry mayor hot on their heels too.
Libby has never felt so unpopular, and begins to wonder whether it’s possible to die twice in one day...
Review: Beware of Potential Spoilers
Also Reviewed it on: Goodreads
This novel threw me for a loop. When it came in the mail I was excited about a free book. When I started reading it...and got the laugh of my life. My mother in real life had warned me about 'wearing nice underwear when going out in case you got in an accident' as well. So I felt an immediate bond with Libby the main character who started out as a typical adult woman fed up with her immature, slob boyfriend. Then it does a complete 180 when she dies along with her dog Rufus. She wakes up and finds out the after life is not so simple. Along with her dog Rufus who can now talk after accidentally absorbing her soul (seriously, how does someone think up that and still keep a great story?), she tries to navigate the world of Sunray Bay. Her fun first day included meeting rude people, being mugged, then getting chased by a guy who looked like a drug addict and meeting Grim a rogue Peace & Order Maintenance Officer with a dark past and just as bleak attitude. He can't shake off Libby however and both have to go out into a world where they're being chased by ex-cons, monsters and the mayor who just happens to be a germaphobic vampire. Of course.
Slippery Souls has many twists but none more so than Libby not being the anti-man heroine. Yes she can help herself but she does need help and actually wants a guy around her. She and Grim are greatly mismatched but yet work out so perfectly together. Independent heroines are great but the fiction section is getting overpowered by females with so much testosterone, even I'm scared. I enjoy strong women but creepily strong 'eat men for breakfast' women? No. And Libby isn't a whiner and anyone who didn't want another Twlight series Bella (I don't hate her but I can see why others do and her character has annoyed me at various points) on their hands will love Libby. She is a real woman in a paranormal after life situation. She's not cowering off somewhere or pushing anyone to turn her into something else. In fact the monsters terrify her like they do normal people. YES MONSTERS SCARE NORMAL PEOPLE.
Another great element to this clever work is that the story is told in the perspective of not just the main character but other characters as well. Including the villains. You get to see the complexity and inner tormoils of each character. Everyone has a motivation. Everyone wants to achieve their own goals. But no one can have their cake and eat it too and not one person wants to lose. The very balance of Sunray Bay and it's citizens are at stake and Libby is about to realize she's a lot more valuable than she ever thought possible. The end will have you begging for more. Some suceed, some fail and someone dies. Yes even in the afterlife you can go and it will not be quietly. Slippery Souls is a well written paranormal novel for readers 16 and over and if you're looking for a different and more mature YA to read this is for you.
I also gave another novel Guardian high marks but it's only because both are great works in their own right.
Slippery Souls also gets credit for doing something different with the paranormal genre and going against type with a M.C. who is both a heroine without special skills and not scared of (or illogically resistant to) assistance from the opposite sex.

Summary: 1. Receive assignment.

Seventeen-year-old Violet Fairdale knows this better than anyone—she’s about to become the best guardian the Guild has seen in years. That is, until one of her assignments—a human boy who shouldn’t even be able to see her—follows her into the fae realm. Now she’s broken Guild Law, a crime that could lead to her expulsion.
The last thing Vi wants to do is spend any more time with the boy who got her into this mess, but the Guild requires that she return Nate to his home and make him forget everything he’s discovered of the fae realm. Easy, right? But Nate and Vi are about to land themselves in even bigger trouble—and it’ll take all Vi’s training to get them out alive.
REVIEW
Violet Fairdale is from a magical land. About to become one of the best guardians in years she accidentally breaks Guild Law when Nate, a human, follows her into the fae realm. The fact that it was an accident doesn't matter. She has to get him back home and make him forget all he's seen. Tough break for a seventeen year old who was just doing her job protecting humans. Worse Nate asks all kinds of questions that gets on her nerves. Can she get him back without losing everything she's worked so hard for? The journey the pair takes the readers on is both exciting and engaging. More so when Violet starts feeling things for her charge that just isn't allowed.
I personally love this novelette. Vi is very interesting and independent. She does her best and doesn't make excuses for her mistakes. Nate is human but resourceful in his own way. He's loyal and does his best to help a girl he just met in a world he doesn't understand. Each character has their own flavour, their own story. Both heroes and villains play their roles and sometimes you might have a hard time seeing any character has completely good or bad. If someone wants something. What's their motivation. A bad thing might've been done but what started them down this path. And with the good is it right to erase a memory just to protect a world? Or is it time to expand horizons, take chances? Guardian will leave you both satisfied and wanting more at the same time. Book 2 is coming in April and I can't wait. This book is better than some full length novels. Being 55 pages takes nothing away from this book and it marks Rachel Morgan as a great author.

Circa Special
Many enjoyed the blogpost on Circa: The Movie last week. I had made my w.i.p. into my dream movie based off a blogfest. It was so populart I've decided to give you a little back story.
Before she became Circa she was just....
A typical 90's teenager going to school.
She get an offer to be made smarter, better. She decide to take it, what's the worst that can happen?
At first things seem ok, she thinks everything will be fine.
But she's wrong.
After a while things change.
She has to stay out longer and longer.
And one day....she never leaves.
When she comes to....she doesn't come to exactly. She's data, has no memory of her name, her family, her life and it takes time for her to figure out she was once human. A teenager.
So she floats as data. Trying to find out who she is and who was responsible. Until one day...she gets a second chance. In the 21st century. Thanks to a girl committing suicide with a laptop. Now in a new body and in a different world with no memory, only data about what's happening to guide her.
Can she survive and she meets a boy named Lux who is quite curious about her white hair and bright eyes. As they navigate through life together will Circa's past come back to haunt her and what if the girl who she switched bodies with isn't dead. Then where is she? And will Circa's new lease on life put many more in danger? And if so by what or who?
That can be answered by one question. Who would you fear more? A memory loss teenager turned computer program or an angry orphan who might have just become a computer program? Easy guess.
If you read everything thank you and Circa will be ready to go out to agents in 2013. For more read the prologue, character interview, random dialogue and thrilling flash fiction. Thank you for reading and Wednesday will be review day for two novels. Guardian by Rachel Morgan and Slippery Souls by Rachael H. Dixon. First posted in the morning, latter novel in the evening/night.

Circa: The Movie
Ok so I decided to do Circa as my WIP: The Movie Blogfest post. Circa is about a teenager from the 90's who getting turned into a computer program. Then she gets a second chance at life in the 21st century after another female teenager attempts suicide causing her accidentally take over the girl's body. For prologue click here.
The actress below is Ellen Marlow.
Circa
To get to know Circa better here's an excerpt of questions she's asked from a previous blog hop. To view full bloghop interview click here.
1. What is your biggest vulnerability? Do others know this or is it a secret?
It's a secret right now. No one knows that I used to be a teenager in the early 1990's until an experiment destroyed my body and turned me into a computer programme. Now in the twenty-first century I get another chance at human life thanks to a teengae girl attempting suicide using a tub and a 'stolen' laptop. I only know her name was Claire and now I have to navigate a new world with white hair (hers was brown) and freaky bright blue eyes. I make a friend with a school drop out named Lux but he doesn't know my secret and I intend to keep it that way.
2. What do people believe about you that is false?
That I'm naive and shy. My years as a computer program has made me quite intelligent and I only avoid people to keep my secret. It's not easy to lose everything then gain something completely different. I cry alone sometimes, I have no one to relate to. I'm an anomaly, or in simple speak 'a freak.'
3. What would your best friend say is your fatal flaw? Why?
I guess Lux counts as my best friend... He thinks I'm too closed off, anti-social. I agree but I don't see it as a weakness. It's damn hard keeping to myself so I don't get exposed. What if the government came after me or those crazies who fried my body get a second wind? Curiousity might've killed the cat but it's not going to get me turned into a guinea pig or worse. Whatever worse is.
4. What would the same friend say is your one redeeming quality? Why?
Lux says I look exotic. Idiot.

Soundtrack
Title song of the movie: Born to Die by Lana Del Rey
This song best describes Circa's struggle to navigate a world completely new to her, the danger she faces and the love she never expected to find.
Circa is currently a book 1 w.i.p. of what will be a trilogy. I hope you enjoyed this post and bloghop. To view more things Circa click flash fiction and funny dialogue. Thank you for participating in this bloghop whether by post or comment.

Rachael Becoming Red
Rachael Becoming Red ebook will be released on Smashwords by March 25, 2012. The main character Rachael has to decide whether to stay in a place she's always known or go into the unknown to achieve both justice and revenge for the murder of her family. Rachael Wood was only seven when her family was murdered in a vicious animal attack. Now eleven, she lives with her guardian Amanda and lives a happy life in the forest village of Kare. Then she meets Terry, leader of T.O. (The Organization) and learns her family was murdered by werewolves. But to get justice she's have to leave Kare, so she turns it down. Worse Amanda and Terry clash on meeting and both fight to make Rachael see their side. As this goes on Rachael slowly learns the truth about Kare and that things don't just lurk in the dark. They also bite. What is a girl who's to be betrothed to an elder's grandson to do? Live the life she was born into or go out into an unknown world and fight both paranormal and human foes?

Teenage Heartthrob Blogfest
Please Note: Remember to read guest blogpost by author Rachael H. Dixon. Click here to show her your support and read more about her clever paranormal novel Slippery Souls.
I saw Cassie Mae's post for this blogfest and decided to take part in the Teenage Heartthrob Blogfest. Our teen years is a big part of our lives an now I'll show you the males who made me swoon. Wait...most of mine were adults even then like Johnny Depp and George Clooney...help. Ok deep breaths, they're coming to me now.
Jason Bradford Priestly
I was a huge Beverly Hills, 90210 fan. Jason played Brandon Walsh on the show and years later his photo fills me with nostalgia.
Backstreet Boys
When this boy band burst on the scene girls went crazy. Not only were they handsome, they could sing. I had posters of them as a teenager and still love their songs years later.
Adam Lamberg
Remember 'Gordo' from Lizzie McGuire? I do and his character might have a bigger personality than swooning good looks but I really liked how Adam portrayed this character. Really helped in keeping me tuned in 'til the end.
N'Sync
Biggest Competition back in the day for Backstreet Boys was another great teen male band named N'Sync. Good looking and talented singers they took the music scene by storm. Today Justin Timberlake is a well known musician an surprisingly good actor. The only other big thing to come since their break up was Lance Bass coming out. Sorry female fans. And yes, I picked this photo on purpose.
So there you have it. The teenage heartthrobs of my teen life. *Sighs* I'm going to do a blog hop/fest for those like me whose heartthrobs in their teens were almost exclusively adult males. I did have a lot of fun doing this though.
And now...a peek at Slippery Souls book trailer. Enjoy!

Guest Post: Rachael Dixion - Author of Slippery Souls
Hi, today I am excited to say I have my first author guest post on my Queendsheena Blog. She is the talented Rachael Dixon and I'm sure you'll lover as much as I do after reading her post. Remember to check out the links to her novel. Now without further ado...
Guest Post
Hey everyone, I’m Rachael H Dixon, the author of Slippery Souls, and I’m honoured to be writing this guest post. To give you a quick overview, I’ve been writing ‘seriously’ for three years now, and Slippery Souls is my first novel. I came to writing urban/paranormal fantasy primarily because I’ve always had a fascination with vampires, werewolves and most other things that go bump in the night.
Slippery Souls is urban fantasy…by the seaside. The two main characters, Libby and Grim, actually came to me in a dream I once had - and they pretty much demanded that I tell their story. The book also contains a variety of other quirky characters, including a talking dog, a vampire with obsessive compulsive disorder, a group of chain-smoking werewolves and an agoraphobic witch. Set in the after life’s Sunray Bay, this fictional location reflects my love of the good old British seaside resort. For me, it was important to write about characters and settings that would spark, and then maintain, a sense of excitement and enthusiasm throughout. I felt it was vital for me to garner as much enjoyment from the project as possible - so that, at least while I was going through the editing and re-editing stages, I didn’t lose the will to live. I decided at the outset that I didn’t want Slippery Souls to be too serious - hence there’s a little bit of silliness thrown in there.
It was when I was around halfway through the first draft of Slippery Souls that I realised I’d fallen in love with some of the characters, and that’s when I made the decision it would be the first book in the Sunray Bay Series. Work on the second book, The Forgotten Ones, is already underway. I have some exciting ideas and would like to explore some of the characters who appeared in Slippery Souls even further (the ones who survived, that is), and throw in some completely new ones too.
Currently, I’m running a competition on the official Slippery Souls website (http://www.slipperysouls.co.uk/). Full instructions can be found there, but, to give a brief description, one winner will be selected from all correct entries and a character in The Forgotten Ones will be named after them. (Pay no heed to the 31st March deadline - I intend on extending that, so fear not, there’s still bags of time to enter). Also, if you’d like to be added to my mailing list, contact me via the website with your details - you’ll receive quarterly newsletters containing news, competitions, and all things Sunray Bay related. Oh and you’ll also be automatically entered into a competition to win a free paperback copy of The Forgotten Ones. Of course, feel free to contact me via the website just to say ‘hi’ - I’d love to hear from you.
Anyway, it’s been lovely sharing some of my thoughts here with you, and I’d like to thank Queendsheena for being so hospitable and for making me feel very welcome.
Best wishes to you all, and always remember to wear your best undies!
PS. As well as urban/paranormal fantasy, I also love writing horror stories. Should you be interested, you can read some of my short stories here:http://rachaelhdixon.webs.com/shortstories.htm
Queendsheena: And to finish up, here's the book trailer. Enjoy.

Crazy Things in News Today
News is meant to keep us informed but crazy things happen. And when they do, the news shows tell us about it.
1. Rush Limbaugh Calls Students 'Slut' over Contraception Controversy.
2. 41 year old male teacher leaves job for 18 yr. old student.
Rush Limbaugh's an ass for saying those things to a young lady just expressing her views.
This teacher....well it says a lot about how parents have to look out for predators everywhere.
Please comment and let me know what you think followers. Thank you for stopping by.

Rachael Becoming Red Soundtrack: Title Song
I am now wholeheartedly convinced that the title song for my Rachael Becoming Red soundtrack is the right choice. My novel starts with a girl who lives in a village in the woods and in this music video a man is both being chased in the woods and the musicans are playing music there too. Too weird, but awesome! I actually looked at the video tonight after reading the WIP: The Movie Blogfest on Kyra Lennon's Blog. My title song is It happens all the time by Paul Lisak and After the Ice. The video is below.
P.S. : Rachael Dixion (author of Slippery Souls) has agreed to do a guest post on my blog! Keep your eyes pealed for her post on my blog soon.
