I have a choice between two covers and can officially only use one. I'd like your thoughts on which looks better. I miss the red smoke but would have to pay extra to get the duplicate replacement I had wanted and I'm on a tight writer's budget. Langao has done an excellent job working with me to improve an already wonderful cover and I'm so glad she slugged through my designer inexperience including learning to find images without dark backgrounds for replacing the smoke. Trust me, finding the perfect smoke (with Langao's cover design you have to provide the images for her to use) is tougher than it looks. Smoke people! Now take a look at the two improved covers and let me know which best meets your fancy. I'd love all the help I can get making a choice.
Oh I love the added line for the series and the swirls on each side. Eek! Can you tell if I'm excited?

I can't wait for March! This is my third post for 2014 and I'm looking forward to what the new year has to bring in both my blogging and writing/author world. I hope the rest of you are looking forward to a new year filled with mystery and enjoy your day. I will post for IWSG on Wednesday, share the official sign up list for Deadly Luxury Cover Reveal on Friday, along with the cover reveal for Bad Blood by Nikki Jefford and have my usual Saturday book review. Yup, a nice blogging schedule this week.
I like the second one more. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the first one :)
ReplyDeleteSecond :)

It depends on your goal. In the first it's coming out of her mouth and the second it's as if it's starting to engulf her.
ReplyDeleteI like the first.
I like second one. The red reminds me of blood - not that I'm blood thirsty or anything. :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, they're both really cool. It's hard to decide! But I guess I'll go with #2. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the subtly of the first. It's more like smoke than the red, which made me think of blood (unless that's what you're going for.)
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer the second. The color scheme seems to tie in better to the title, and the OCD in me DEMANDS symmetry.
ReplyDeleteI agree on the second cover. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the second one :-) Wishing you the best with this!
ReplyDeleteI like the first one best.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about #2 that makes the cover more appealing. Maybe it's the color of the smoke - kinda looks like fire. And the red above - I like it.
ReplyDeleteI like both, but if I had to choose, I definitely would pick the second one!
ReplyDeleteThey're both really cool. I'm voting the second =)
ReplyDeleteI'm going with #1 also. Honestly, the difference is so subtle, pick the one that best fits the budget. That's how I decide when clothes shopping...if I like two shirts, I go with the cheaper one. I figure it's fate helping me decide :)
ReplyDeleteI like the one with more colors in it, but is there specific significance in having just the red and yellow? Go with the one that fits your book best. Good luck choosing!
ReplyDeleteI prefer cover #2. It seems more intense.
ReplyDeleteCover #1 for me.
ReplyDeleteSad to lose you the the Around the world reading challenge.
Happy New Year!
Maya
I'm going with #2, but I think both are great. This is all very exciting and I'm so happy for you!
