Please Note: My next post will actually be on Wednesday not Tuesday. I corrected that error in this post.
First off I'd like to remind you about about my cover reveal coming February 17. Thank you to all who have signed up so far and I can't wait to put out the second novella cover for The Sacrifice Series on display.
Last Week
You might have noticed last week that my presence on my blog was rather spotty. I had planned to blog at least four times last week but then circumstances got in the way. I felt so bad about my lack of blogging that I decided not to post again until I could get my online act together. It never feels good for me when I post but don't comment on other blogs. I am sorry about being so absent even though I know most of you already forgive me. Thank you for all your support and I'll be ready to post again on Wednesday.

Writing News: Sacrifice HER Cover Choice
Hi everyone! Last week was another iffy internet situation leaving me unable to leave much comments which is why I decided to hold off any new post til the Weekend/Monday. Last year I posted Book News: The Sacrifice Series and discussed changes I was getting done for the Sacrifice HER cover and about Deadly Luxury's upcoming cover reveal. While the sign up will be coming this week for those wanting to take part in February, I've decided to not add Sacrifice HER's new cover to it. I'll show you right now.
I have a choice between two covers and can officially only use one. I'd like your thoughts on which looks better. I miss the red smoke but would have to pay extra to get the duplicate replacement I had wanted and I'm on a tight writer's budget. Langao has done an excellent job working with me to improve an already wonderful cover and I'm so glad she slugged through my designer inexperience including learning to find images without dark backgrounds for replacing the smoke. Trust me, finding the perfect smoke (with Langao's cover design you have to provide the images for her to use) is tougher than it looks. Smoke people! Now take a look at the two improved covers and let me know which best meets your fancy. I'd love all the help I can get making a choice.
Oh I love the added line for the series and the swirls on each side. Eek! Can you tell if I'm excited?

I can't wait for March! This is my third post for 2014 and I'm looking forward to what the new year has to bring in both my blogging and writing/author world. I hope the rest of you are looking forward to a new year filled with mystery and enjoy your day. I will post for IWSG on Wednesday, share the official sign up list for Deadly Luxury Cover Reveal on Friday, along with the cover reveal for Bad Blood by Nikki Jefford and have my usual Saturday book review. Yup, a nice blogging schedule this week.

Book News: The Sacrifice Series
The image of the female will still be there but I have to change the smoke because of a mix up that's a misuse on my part and I want to add to the title that this novella is book one in The Sacrifice Series. I plan to set the re-reveal as the same day as the cover reveal for Deadly Luxury.
Yes it is time again for another spectacular talk of an upcoming book by me, Tessan Chin. Kidding, Kidding, but congrats on winning The Voice girl! Jamaica's so proud. Oh and the U.S.A. and so forth...I guess. Serious now. In January I will open sign up for the February Cover Reveal for Deadly Luxury. I am excited about sharing another cover with you guys after all the positive responses I received for the first book. I like the mock cover I chose and believe the official cover will truly depict the fate that the two MC's are facing. I considered putting the sign up now but decided I want to focus on the holidays. Also you can check out my Pinterest Board for the series. And go to The Sacrifice Series Page for more on all the novellas.
Oh I'm so excited and I'm practically bouncing as I write this. Thanks for all the support and I can't for you guys to meet Deidra, Lord Brinn, Jessica and Joseph when my novellas come out. Ahhh! Can you tell I'm excited? Thanks for all your support and Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays my loves.

Sacrifice HER Cover Reveal
The day has finally come. Time to reveal the cover of Sacrifice HER. Be amazed.
Title: Sacrifice HER by Sheena-kay Graham
Goodreads: Sacrifice HER
Release Date: December 2013
Summary: When a city is at stake is the life of one sixteen-year old girl worth risking thousands? Deidra Moore goes on the run after escaping from a group of human sacrifices for Bane: God of Gore. She doesn't believe he exists and sees uncertainty in the scorching desert as a better alternative. But Faux City isn't finished with her and their leader Lord Brinn is ordered by Bane - through one of his maiden worshipers- to bring her back or face dire consequences. In the desert Deidra meets a wanderer named Kane and as feelings spark can they find a safe place to lead a new life before Lord Brinn and his soldiers catch up with them? Yet the question remains. Does Bane really exist and if he does what will happen if either side succeeds or fails? Told in alternating perspectives of both the runaway servant girl and the blonde strong willed leader.
Author Bio:
Sheena-kay Graham was never meant for a traditional job behind a desk. Her childhood career plans included becoming a ballerina, actress or someone who helped people. So naturally she decided to be a writer who writes from her bed. Yes, no desk for this Jamaican book lover. No matter if it’s reading, writing or using the computer....you get the gist. The love of the written word has always been with her leading to stories, novels, poetry and way too much fan fiction. This Christian woman can be found trolling Amazon online, in local book bookstores, watching movies on the big screen, or in her bed, or reading/writing/on the laptop...again in her bed. Mainly writes YA fiction and is ready to unleash her creativity to wow the masses.

And for a final bit of wow factor. Look at what I got for free without asking.
Please Note: I only just discovered that I had accidentally sent out the reveal info with Bane as 'God of War' instead of' God of Gore'. Sorry for the mix-up.

Title Change for Sacrifice Series Book 2
I have decided to change The Choice to Deadly Luxury. The reason for this decision is that the original title was too generic. The new title is not only more unique, it depicts the story line very well. Also I changed the mock cover to better suit what the novella is about.
Original Mock Cover
Joseph Rowe doesn't believe in The Giving. A ceremony in which every year two teens are sacrificed after living fifteen years of luxury. Refusal means banishment to the wastelands and no return to Chance City. Can he really go against what he was raised to do? To believe?
Thank you for dropping by and see you on Saturday.

So? What do you think?
And here's the summary to better show the extent the change helps. You can also click here for a full list and to read on some changes including the addition of the fifth novella (mock cover only).
Summary: Jessica Hatfield lives a life of decadence She gets up everyday to be pampered and cared for. At age fifteen she will be sacrificed. She wants to but what of those who don't?

Writing News: For My Country: An Excerpt and Cover Love: The Wicked Within
For My Country is book three in The Sacrifice Series and one of the things I enjoyed about writing it was that I had set this novella in my homeland of Jamaica. While the first four novellas will not be released until later this year I'm excited to share with you an excerpt from For My Country.
Excerpt
Chapter One
Violet stared at her hand in horror. A slanted number five had appeared out of nowhere on her palm. She looked at her parents celebrating New Year's and pretended to be interested in the festivities.
“2013 is here!” Mother declared, waving a brightly coloured cloth around. Father just smiled and watched her jump around, but his face changed when saw his daughter.
She ignored him and ran a finger along the number. Her skin didn't feel any different. Same texture, except now there was number in the middle of her palm. Perhaps this was the painless version of being marked a young nubile black slave whose owner branded teenage girls through magic and existed in the land of Nowhere. If Jamaica was being taken over by an invisible overlord, he must have a twisted sense of humour.
“What’s the matter?” Father asked. “You look upset.”
Violet opened her mouth to answer but was cut off by a burst of screams. Confusion morphed into horror when the source was discovered to be the television showing live coverage of the New Year's Celebration at Hellshire Beach. Enormous waves rose in the air before crashing onto shore. The once jubilant celebration had transformed into a disaster movie. Party goers and news crews were screaming and running for cover as the sea claimed unlucky victims as its own. By the time calm was restored, the beach looked abandoned.
Suddenly, a creature rose from the depths.
“Is that...is that a giant...a super giant octopus?” Violet choked out.
“The Kraken,” my father awed, “I read about it, a creature from Norse Mythology.”
“Norse wha...? Trevor, you read too damn much,” Mother stuttered, and then rebuked him.
The Kraken raised its tentacles and shrieked, causing more huge waves. A screaming female straggler barely escaped being crushed.
Violet wondered if this was the end of the world. The Mayans were wrong but maybe they were coincidentally right about one thing. 2013 was not Earth’s good year. Or maybe this was more biblical. Like Moses and the ten plagues. Was this the start? But what could be next? Would sirens and the minotaur make a guest appearance? And what did the number on her palm mean now?
“Citizens of earth, you have been judged.”
She jumped. The words seemed to come from the television. But the only thing present was the creature. “Holy shit, it talks. That thing is talking!”
“Vi, watch your language,” Mother said.
Violet knelt in front of the screen. Was this Kraken the source of the number on her palm? Now she worried that she just might be numbered for lunch.
She jumped when the phone rang.
“Hello,” Father answered. “Cheryl, calm down. What, you're saying a monster showed up near your beach house? But you’re abroad in Florida; this thing is here at Hellshire Beach.”
Violet covered her mouth to suppress a scream. If her aunt was seeing it too, that meant one thing. The Kraken was projecting itself worldwide.

Cover Love
Today I'm showing the cover for The Wicked Within by Kelly Keaton. There is no blurb yet but the book's coming this September. I think the cover looks lovely and dark. The bright and dark colours contrast to create an eye catching cover. And the fact that you can't see the female's full face adds to the mystery.

The Space Between Cover Reveal and Re-Introduce Myself
Today I'm doing the cover reveal for The Space Between by Victoria H. Smith.
Title: The Space Between
Author: Victoria H. Smith
Expected release date: April 2, 2013
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Age Group: New Adult Cover Designer: Okay Creations; http://okaycreations.net/site/ Cover reveal organized by: AToMR Tours
Links to find the book: Goodreads
Book Description:
When Drake started the night at his father’s campaign fundraiser, he never imagined he’d end it being conned into buying drugs on the West Side. Losing high-stakes poker has its consequences, but he’d repeatedly face them just to hear Lacey Douglas sing. Drake sees Lacey light up the stage, and he has to have her. But his intentions for being on her side of town turn out to be the reason he can’t.
Chicago native Lacey has dreams of the opera, but life has its obstacles. Lacey has come to know her hardships as part of living in the real world and accepts them fully. When Lacey meets the intense and invigorating Drake, a fire is lit inside her, unleashing those dreams again.
Two paths that should have never crossed prove to create the exact pairing the other needs. But when their worlds take time to catch up, everything they have is tested. Finding the space between the two sides that challenge them will be hard, but it’s the only place that will keep them together.
The Space Between is a new adult contemporary romance.
About the author:
Victoria H. Smith has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She puts it to good use writing romance all day. She resides in the Midwest with her Macbook on her lap and a cornfield to her right. She often draws inspiration for her stories from her own life experiences, and the twenty-something characters she writes give her an earful about it.
In her free time, she enjoys extreme couponing, blogging, reading, and sending off a few tweets on Twitter when she can. She writes new adult fiction romance in the sub-genres of science fiction, urban fantasy, and contemporary, but really, anywhere her pen takes her she goes.

Hi I'm Sheena-kay Graham and I decided to participate in the Re-Introduce Myself Blogfest. So I'm a Christian and Jamaican who loves to read and absolutely has to write. Whether it's fiction or fan fiction, writing is a huge part of my life. This year I plan to self publish four novellas from The Sacrifice Series starting this May. Also hoping to have my novel Escaping Wonderland written and edited by the end of March so I can start sending it out to agents. I'm crazy about YA and my new faves include the Divergent series and will include Beautiful Creatures as soon as I get my hands on the book. Yes I love it that much and can't wait for the movie. I have like three movies I want to see this month (Warm Bodies, Beautiful Creatures, Hansel and Gretel) which is funny because I didn't see more than one in a month last year. Saving is going well though. Wish me luck.
At age 28 I'm single and enjoy reading whenever I can and going to the movies. Been blogging a little over a year now and so happy with the fellow bloggers and writers that I've met. I'm mainly a quiet person unless I hit a topic that I really love then I might transform into a chatterbox. My blog Queendsheena has really brought me out my writing shell and while I'm still not the biggest sharer of my poetry, I have shared my writings and w.i.p.s. quite handsomely. My crazy imagination also keeps novel idea coming which is both a blessing and curse for this professional dreamer. Ever got a novel idea from a facts under a Snapple Cap? I did.
Now that you've got a second chance to know me, here's a 2012 pic of me in my natural glory. Even though my hair was creamed. Sorry but the natural hair's a bit tough to manage. Have a great 2013 everyone and remember to visit others participating in this blogfest.

Sacrifice Series: Official Release dates and Mock Covers
Yes readers after a lot of hopping around I have finally settled on the official dates for the first four books in The Sacrifice Series. I have made enough time to both promote and ensure all novellas as spit shine polished by the time they're published. Now you'll see the final dates and the series will have ten novellas in all. The books will all have two commonalities. They're under thirty or twenty thousand words and each has a different teen(s) in a situation that will have them being sacrificed if they don't defy it or try to escape.
Sacrifice Her: May 2013
The Choice: June 2013
For My Country: Early July 2013
Healing Bitsy: Mid July 2013
So those are the dates. But that's not all, below is the mock cover for book one's Sacrifice Her. All mock covers were created with free images from Stock Free Images.
See? Hope you like it. I'm not revealing the true cover until late January 2013.
But I will show you something fun. Elizabeth Seckman who won my Blogoversary had her story idea become book 4 in The Sacrifice Series. Not only does it have a title now but I found an image perfect for the mock cover. In fact I think this could be a real cover for a book. It is so beautiful. You be the judge.
