Today is my birthday. I'm going to lay back and relax. Plan to see either The Grinch or Wreck-It Ralph 2 over the weekend. Also on an exciting note, I won Nanowrimo for the first time! Take care and see you next week.

Movie Love: Artemis Fowl Teaser Trailer
Disney is really going out there with trailers in November. There's even the rumor out there that we will soon be getting the Avengers 4 teaser trailer. But right now I'm discussing the spanking new trailer dropped today for Artemis Fowl.
According to the synopsis on Wikipedia: In order to rescue his criminal father and restore the family fortune, Artemis Fowl II and his trusted servant and bodyguard Domovoi Butler seek the existence of fairies (believing that it makes a connection to his father) in hopes of robbing them.
Personally, I found the trailer to be very lacking. The music was really good and so was the voice over but other than a few scenes I found everything to be meh and confusing. This isn't something like The Lion King where familiarity is to be expected and you can easily get away with little or no introduction. What I got from this at first was that some kid was out there somewhere causing mischief...oh and there's magic. Um, ok. That is not going to make me run for the theaters much less the full trailer. Plus there are adults fighting, a female transforms and floats in the air and that boy who seems to be Artemis Fowl stands around in a suit. Yup, that's the trailer from my view.
Thankfully I was able to find out more via watching trailer reactions and looking up on the books. I will say on the positive side that the trailer reminded me that I have been meaning to buy the book. I ended up buying the first three in a box set on Book Depository ($26 US for three books is a steal!). I wish I could give more details on this trailer but it was too confusing to me. The trailer is below and so is a reaction from Youtuber, Grace Randolph. Hopefully, both can do better than I did.
P.S.: As a fairy fan I'm not appreciative of some genius punk robbing them. I hope he gets his ass kicked.

Movie Love: The Lion King Teaser Trailer
Disney ruled Thanksgiving by dropping the highly anticipated teaser for 2019's live action, The Lion King. Personally, I found the entire trailer captivating and my heart dropped at a quick clip of the stampede...because we (who have rewatched the animated film many times) all know what that preludes to. With a fantastic voice over cast, beautiful CGI and soulful music, I truly believe it will be another hit for fans of Disney's live-action movies. What did you think of the trailer?
Thanks for stopping by. See you next week.

Waiting On Wednesday: Wicked Saints
Sorry about no Wednesday post. Here's what would have gone up yesterday.
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that allows us to spotlight books we are eagerly anticipating to be released.
Seeing the cover attracted my attention first. It definitely has a vibe which matches the title. The blurb is even more interesting.
Release Date: April 2, 2019
Blurb: A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.
A prince in danger must decide who to trust.
A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.
Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.
In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light. Wicked Saints is the thrilling start to Emily A. Duncan’s devastatingly Gothic Something Dark and Holy trilogy.
I'm definitely intrigued to read this novel when it comes out. How about you? Thanks for stopping by and see you on Friday.

Monday MishMash: November 2018
Monday Mishmash is a weekly meme created by Kelly Hashway for sharing what's going on in your life and noggin. You just grab a button and post your business...I mean thoughts online. No biggie. Have fun!
1. I had a cover reveal for my upcoming series on Friday. It was great sharing You can view it on my Tumblr.
2. Nanowrimo is going well. Love Crossed is a YA Romance with two protagonists. If you want to be my writing buddy click here.
3. Thinking about where to take my adult pseudonym. I have the Facebook Page, Twitter, and a simple site.
4. My computer has been going and my health makes it hard for me to work fulltime. Still searching to help supplement my freelancing income. Meanwhile, I have a crowdfunder up to help save money to replace this device that is essential to me working. You can also donate to my ko-fi page where visitors can get free bi-monthly exclusives for free. Ko-Fi exists for fans and individuals who want to tip freelancers and others.
5. It is great to be blogging again. Each writing style is unique and writing stories are different. Blogging holds a special place in my heart and I'm glad to be back on the horse communicating with readers and fellow bloggers.
6. Been catching up on Grimm series (watched all except the final season, I think). Still, love this show.
So thrilled to be back blogging. Thank you for stopping by. See you on Wednesday.

Movie Love: Films I Plan to See in 2018
Author Announcement: Sacrifice Her has been renamed Running Scared. View cover reveal and new plot here. Add on Goodreads. The Sacrifice Series is now tentatively set for Fall 2019. The other four covers will be revealed together early 2019. Thanks for all your support.
So the Christmas holidays are over a month away but that doesn't mean the movie season isn't swinging. So far for 2018, I've seen these films in theaters: Hotel Artemis, Incredibles 2, Antman and the Wasp, Equalizer 2 and Venom.
Films I Plan to See (hopefully)
The Grinch
Ralph Breaks the Internet
If Beale Street Could Talk
Mary Queen of Scots
Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse
Mary Poppins
Aquaman
Bumblee
I sort of want to see
Creed 2
Green Book
Mortal Engines
Note: Mowgli: LOTJ and Roma are coming out on Netflix (and theaters) so I'll stream those.
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

Getting Personal: Back from the End?
Hey readers, I'm happy to say this blog is back up and running. I was supposed to do this post on Monday the 5th of November. Unfortunately, the evening before I had a bad fall in the backyard, in the mud. So that was not good. Anyway, I'm happy to be posting today.
I am still undiagnosed with my illness but that's just a matter I have to accept. Right now seems the perfect time to revive my review blog. QueendSheena has always held a special place in my heart. There is also my Tumblr which is my writing website for the time being. Plus there's a special reveal tomorrow exclusive to that site, my ko-fi page and Goodreads. I will add a link to my Friday post so all you can see it as well.
I have been dealing with things including job hunting to help boost my freelancing income. Right now I'm taking part in Nanowrimo which you can find out more about on Twitter. I also started a Facebook group if you can believe it. That along with my writings has me one busy bee.
So thank you, everybody, who has supported me in the past. I hope you and new readers/visitors will continue to do so in the future.
