Cover Reveal: The Faerie Guardian and Book Review Thursday

Click here for Book Review Thursday.

Today I'm taking part in the cover reveal for The Faerie Guardian by Rachel Morgan. The Faerie Guardian is a paperback compilation of the four ebooks in the Creepy Hollow series. With an eye catching cover I think this cover is an attention grabber. Available next month, all I can say is excellent work Rachel. I'm a fan who loves the books and you can see my review for the first two below.

Title: The Faerie Guardian
Author: Rachel Morgan
Release Date: 5 Nov 2012
Add to Goodreads

Protecting humans from dangerous magical creatures is all in a day’s work for a faerie training to be a guardian. Seventeen-year-old Violet Fairdale knows this better than anyone—she’s about to become the best guardian the Guild has seen in years. That is, until a cute human boy who can somehow see through her faerie glamour follows her into the fae realm. Now she’s broken Guild Law, a crime that could lead to her expulsion.

The last thing Vi wants to do is spend any more time with the boy who got her into this mess, but the Guild requires that she return Nate to his home and make him forget everything he’s discovered of the fae realm. Easy, right? Not when you factor in evil faeries, long-lost family members, and inconvenient feelings of the romantic kind. Vi is about to find herself tangled up in a dangerous plot—and it’ll take all her training to get out of it alive.

[This novel was originally published in four separate parts: GuardianLabyrinthTraitor and Masquerade. It includes bonus scenes at the end.]

Giveaway Time!

The bonus scenes at the end of the book are NOT written from the main character's point of view. If you'd like to win a $10 Amazon gift card, all you have to do is guess whose point of view these scenes are written from! Head on over to the cover reveal post at Rachel Morgan Writes and fill in the Rafflecopter form. There's a list of characters there that you can choose from. Good luck!

In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren, where bloggers have the chance to share what they received in books that week. I'm doing mine a little early but I think you'll love the books I received.

The following books I picked up on Tuesday. Some of these books arrived earlier this year but due to mix ups and other bungling by a 'certain company,' I just found out about them in June and finally had the money to puck them up earlier this week. I got these book through E-Biz Ltd which I pay to use a U.S. Mailbox and have those books shipped to me in Jamaica.

Without further ado, here they are.

I won this book in a giveaway hosted by the author. I got it on Tuesday and finished it yesterday. It's very good and I'll be doing a review next Thursday.

Won from another giveaway. I plan to start reading next week. The story line is very unique and intriguing.

I won this off goodreads and started reading it today. The horror genre is always changing and in this story a cat haunts a man who accidentally killed it.

This book was won from Jenny Morris's giveaway earlier this year. She's a great blogger friend of mine and this book is a great dystopian novel.

I hope you find these books interesting. I know I'm happy with my haul. I plan to purchase Collateral by J.L. Campbell and Insurgent by Veronica Roth soon.

Countdown to Release: Rachael Becoming Red

Rachael Becoming Red is my debut novel about Rachael Wood who finds out her family was killed by werewolves and that her own village is hiding secrets. The ebook will be released April 30, 2012 on Smashwords and they will henceforth release it on Barnes & Noble, Amazon and other online retailers dutifully. This novel is book one in the Red Series.

Summary on Goodreads: Rachael Wood was only seven when her family was murdered in a vicious animal attack. Now eleven, she lives with her guardian Amanda and lives a happy life in the forest village of Kare. Then she meets Terry, leader of T.O. (The Organization) and learns her family was murdered by werewolves. But to get justice she's have to leave Kare, so she turns it down. Worse Amanda and Terry clash on meeting and both fight to make Rachael see their side. As this goes on Rachael slowly learns the truth about Kare and that things don't just lurk in the dark. They also bite. What is a girl who's to be betrothed to an elder's grandson to do? Live the life she was born into or go out into an unknown world and fight both paranormal and human foes?

Five Questions For You To Consider.

1. Would you be able to move on if your family was murdered?

2. If someone gave you the chance to avenge them would you? And if you had to leave everything you know, could you?

3. If your guardian said someone who you think is trying to help you is a bad person would you cut them off? Or would you make your own decisions.

4. If your home was in danger, what would you do to save it?

5. Could you make any of these decisions at eleven years old like Rachael has to?
